This website was initially created as a response to requests by fans for easier access to professional soccer players and their desire to learn more about that particular player. After my transfer to Denmark I was informed by the fans of their interest in knowing more about my new club, how to follow the Danish Superliga and my day to day activities in a new country. After a year of inactivity on the website, we have worked hard to create a user-friendly site where visitors can find what they’re looking for all in one place. However, if you don’t find what you’re looking for, just shoot an e-mail to me by using the “Contact” form on the homepage to ask me a question. While I won’t have all the answers, I will gladly give you my thoughts and opinions on most topics and help you become a better soccer player.
I was born in Fairfield, Ohio on January 17th, 1983 and moved to Kettering, Ohio shortly thereafter. From an early age, I had a love for sports and played basketball, baseball and soccer in organized settings. I first began playing soccer when I was 7. The next 12 years I played for various clubs including the Centerville Galaxies, F.C. Dayton, Team Dayton and TVSA Majic. I attended Kettering Fairmont High School where I co-captained our Fall 2000 team to the school’s first Conference Title, first District Championship and deepest run into the State tournament. During my three years on Varsity, I set the school record for goals and points in a season, goals in a career and points in a career while helping set the single-season school win record.
I signed to play college soccer at The University of Dayton and played 4 seasons for the Flyers while majoring in Finance. I set the single-season school record for assists and set the all-time school record for assists in a career despite only playing in 62 games. In 2003, our team was ranked as high as #6 in the NSCAA soccer polls, but we never made an appearance in the NCAA tournament. I was a co-captain for the 2004 season.
In January of 2005, I was drafted by the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer in the 3rd round. I led the team in scoring during our two-month pre-season schedule and made my debut for the Fire in the season opening game in Dallas on April 5th, 2005. The next weekend I started in our game against D.C. United and scored my first MLS goal on April 9th, 2005. I finished with 8 goals and 5 assists that season, which made me the team’s leading scorer and helped push me into the Runner-Up position for Rookie of the Year. That November I was chosen by the U.S. Men’s National Team’s coach, Bruce Arena, to join the team in Glasgow, Scotland for a friendly game against Scotland.
In 2006, we beat the Los Angeles Galaxy in the U.S. Open Cup final. It was the club’s fourth Open Cup Championship, and the accomplishment is still one of my most memorable events as an athlete.
In September of 2009, I signed a contract to play for Aalborg in Denmark putting an end to my five year tenure with the Chicago Fire and MLS. I moved to Denmark in January of 2010 looking for new challenges and there have been plenty. I’m enjoying my time here and looking forward to what is to come in the future.
